intermedia and standby database

Hi friends ....

  I have a primary and secondary database which gets synchronized once in a day . Now i want to apply intermedia on primary database . MY doubt is how to reflect this change in secondary .Do i need to apply intermedia in secondary or do i need to recreate the secondary again .Please help me in solving this problem ...
