besides the backword compatability of 11i oracle will only certify your instalation if you relink the binaries, so you will not need to reinstall, you can use your old binaries but before open the database you must issue " relink all" . as the oracle instalation owner. rgds

Gurus,

When I upgrade HP-UX from 11.0 to 11i, do I need to re-install Oracle binaries for HP-UX 11i or I could use old Oracle binaries which was installed for HP-UX 11.0.
