don't know about 8i, but 9.2 isn't supposed to be able to run without installing different binaries and running a couple scirpts. I will know that answer in about 2 weeks.

I am about to upgrade my AIX box from AIX 4.3.3 to AIX 5

Currently have 8.1.7 (32 bit) and 9.2(64 bit) installed on the box.

Will these versions run after the upgrade, assuming we run AIX 5 with 32 bit kernal?

John
