Don't scare me like that. I was looking - at the first part of the week it
seemed so but then I noticed at the end of the week in the DBA courses there
were a lot of people - standing room only depending on subject/presenter.
On the otherhand, not a lot of attendees in the data warehouse realm (filled
3/4 of the room say).
I had a discussion with a very bright gentleman from Johnson and Johnson about the state of DBA's - Oracle or otherwise in the IT market in U.S. Seems we need to consider the title: Data Architect. Then there is SQL Server and opensource databases (not ready for prime-time but then again...).
This could be a long O.T. - sorry Jared.

It was a fast trip for me at IOUG-A because of client needs. It was great seeing those of you who I saw. For those I missed, I'm sorry I missed you as I was looking forward to seeing you. I still owe a few here a beer or two... perhaps at OOW or if I goto UKOUG later this year?
With Marlene being gone, it just wasn't the same.
Was it just me or did the attendence numbers seem a lot smaller this year?
