As an extension to Raj's query

There are organizations who want to have just one login ID and password into the system. and based on that allow the user access applications including Oracle.

I have thought about synchronizing network/domain passwords when they are changed by the user. One place I did this was by creating a shared dll
(component). So when a user changes password, the dll synchronizes all other
application passwords that user is assigned to use.

It would help the community if there are other ways to achieve it.

just a thought

Regards
Shiva

What is the easiest way to allow users sync their passwords among n databases ? We are thinking of capturing password changes and broadcast them to other databases via a script, but there an issue of looping.

Do you have this in your workplace? For security reasons, windows passwords are not same as oracle db passwords.

Thanks in advance, and yes we run tnsnames ... no names, no oid if it matters.
Raj
