RE: Oracle 8i on Windoze Installer Issues

It's a pain trying to install on p4 machines when the only thing I need is sql*net. And more painful when oracle comes up with patches oracle odbc driver faster than oracle db version. I hv installed upto 8.1.7.8 odbc driver.
We have some cots design applications which use oracle db. Their frontend requires sql*net and odbc. I am waiting for that when non-browser client apps (e.g. cad design s/w) would work without installing sql*net/net8 client.
