SQL Loader elapsed time

Hi All,
          what are the factors affecting the elapsed time for sql loader
in conventional path load if the no of rows loaded remains almost constant .
          I load almost the same data thro sql loader daily and at  the
same time.But the elapsed time varies .
          what can be the reason for this variation.
