Guys,
I am trying to create an instance after installing the Oracle 9i 64-bit on Sun Solaris 2.8. I keep getting ORA-27101 errors and am unable to make any progress.
I have checked my:
ORACLE_SID,
ORACLE_HOME,
oratab,
messed with the semaphores to increase them, cheked to make sure my envioronment is set up right, that there is no other instance up and running with that SID...

So HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Uma
