But in the "real" world you don't come across a real implementation of 4th NF very often, and especially on systems that are based on older preexisting ones.
So it's highly probably you'll get 4+ columns per table. Sad but True ...

Just a thought, but if you have more than 4 you're probably not normalized very well.
