As long as there is someone (operations staff? clerk?) onsite where the
servers are, who cares where they are located?
We have staging/test servers in Massachusetts, production in New
Jersey, developers, DBAs and SAs are located in Manhattan. Oh and the
hosting company who manage our staging and production data centers are
located all over the country, they are a hosting company doing remote
data center management.
You can remote mount a CD, or copy the files onto your server (just did
that, to do a 9201 install then patch to 9202). I haven't a clue where
those servers are located. Don't care. Don't need to know.
