Hi,

I tune their SQL when asked usually because it is 'too' slow. If not too busy, I also watch for high disk reads, buffer_gets, etc., on our development machine and see if there is anything I can do to fix problems before they get into production.

I was wondering if maybe I am out of touch.....do most of you also tune all your duhvelopers code??? I can see working together with them if there are issue but have the responsibility of tuning all developer code....EGAD when would I have time to be a DBA. ; )
