to quote the article:

'The handful of applicants who survive the telephone interview can expect an interview at the job site and what Burleson calls the "teching" of the candidate. He advises interviewers to ask specific questions, such as "What is the default password for the sys user in Oracle?"

There's no faking answers to those questions, and an interviewer can easily judge the technical skills of the candidates. "Only a practicing DBA knows the answer is 'changeoninstall,'" Burleson said. "A seasoned DBA can spot a faker instantly."'

Um, the default password for sys is "change_on_install" not "changeoninstall". Which leads me to one of several conclusions:

either:
a) Don Burleson is not a practicing DBA

or

b) He was interviewed over the phone and spoke it without indicating the underscores, the way most of us would/do

or

c) Someone forgot to proof-read the article.

Some recruiter reading the interview will make that an interview question and the person being interviewed will "fail" because they say/write it correctly. Sheesh
