RMAN restore question

Hello,
I lost one of my devices on the server. I need to restore from an RMAN backup. There were 4 datafiles and 1 redo-log file on this device. I restored, 3 of the datafiles, but when attempting to restore #4, I am finding that there is an issue with reading from that portion of the tape.
(I get bad block errors).

The question is: Is there a way to force RMAN to restore from the second newest backup of this datafile instead of the newest (which is apparently bad)?

OS: SunOS 5.6
Oracle DB & RMAN: 8.0.4.4.4

Thank you.
-Fred S.
