Can you explain exactly HOW I get a different set of developers, short
of quitting my job? And how I ensure that the next set are any better?
Considering the state of the economy in the US right now, that's not
something I'd do lightly.
I simply smile at the developers, say "it's my database, any code that
is placed in it without prior review will be deleted from the
database".
I also repeat, over and over and over until they give in just to make
me stop, that I will be part of all database design meetings because
again, nothing goes into and STAYS in the database unless I've reviewed
it. Think "two year old who has just learned the word NO".
And if that doesn't work, I go out and find a two by four to beat them
senseless.
