Perhaps you need to do a trace to determine the real cause of you problems. Full table scans are not necessarily the problem. When you have trace for the program and the explain plain you have of the executing SQL you will have a better idea than assuming you need indexes to stop full table scans.

      is there any way to find which tables (table name) are suffering from
full table scan ,so that i can create indexes on them to enhance the performance.
