I have got a set of datafiles backed up from the client but he didn't send me the required archive logs

now for testing purpose we need to get the DB up at our site but the archive logs are not there, the client will send the same but it will take time

Is there any way to get the DB up without applying the archive logs

DATA LOSS IS NOT A PROBLEM Regards
Naveen
