tds-3 has a feature whereby if someone scans your machine, you can (via a script or manuallY) send the person a message back.

"I know who you are" is a default I think.

Something like that would be useful.

Ad hoc querying and 3rd party tools can be a problem, esp when users don't know anything about explain plans or that runaway SQL exists.

Hence resource profiles.
