Re: update 30mil rows

Is the table partitioned ? I though that parallel dml only worked on partitioned tables before v9. In any event, you need to "alter session enable parallel dml" before you start.

If you're not really getting parallel dml, then you may have to fake it by using multiple sessions and applying appropriate where-clauses to break the load into pieces.
