The code I posted earlier is easily adapted to do base 64.

Oracle made rowids base 64. Try to identify a corrupt block number from that when you do "select rowid, last_column_of_table from table;" to see where the thing breaks. Does anyone, perchance, know if they provided a base 64 converter to go with the base 64 rowids?
