Mogens, Mogens, Mogens...

It's not about hit ratios! It's about how many bars the group has to visit! Reduce the number of bars and you reduce the time it takes! Remember, a High Hit Ratio but Slow Beer Consumption will make people very unhappy!

And I hereby declare that Miracle will sponsor a beer for each participant. Since I can't be there, I can at least make it easier to live with Jonathan for a whole day.

Jonathan - buy those poor people a beer (or whatever they require) and send the bill to Miracle.

PS: This was only for those participating in Jonathans (possible) seminar - not for all participants in IOUG-A. In other words: I'm going for a very high (local) hit ratio. Not a high global hit ratio.

I too will attend that class, even if I can't get my boss to spring for

it. They are sending me there, but they don't have to pay for the

conference, so I should be able to talk them into it.

Jonathan, if you do decide to give that class, I am definately

interested.

$250 I can talk my boss into. $1300 for IOUG-A, I can't.

Grosvernor might be a good place. Don't know the price... but it is

close

(right next to Downtown Disney, and is a very nice Resort Hotel)

Cheaper

than the Swan and Dolphin... but very nice.

I've finally managed to fit IOUG-A into my

timetable, after years of thinking that I really

ought to go some day.

I see from the 'University Class' listings that

no-one is doing anything about specific on

how the cost based optimizer works.

Two questions -

If I found some place in the locale to

run the one-day tutorial that I did at the

UKOUG this December (see URL below),

would there be much interest in attending ?

I'd probably keep the class size at around

40 people, with a cost of around $250, and

plan to run it on the Sunday before the main

event. (Or maybe on the Friday, when all

the fuss has died down).

Second - does anyone know the general

area well enough to suggest a couple of

reasonable hotels that might do a nice

job of hosting such an event ?

Thanks for any feedback.
