Your message is being returned to you because of an error in your usage. The
mailing list address you sent your message to was:

    Address: ORACLE-L_at_fatcity.com
Description: Oracle RDBMS Community Forum     Subject: Ignore Previous NOte

Your posting has been rejected and returned to you because it appeared to be a "vacation" auto-reply message. If you have received only one of these notices, then please consider this a courtesy notice. If you received more than one of these (perhaps many of these) notices, then your auto-reply program is not cognizent of proper mail ettiquette and you must heed these instructions in future situations like this.

While you have an auto-reply responder turned on, all messages which are auto-replied to the mailing list are sent to your mailbox AGAIN, resulting in a quickly increasing endless-loop condition. This not only causes YOUR mailbox to fill up, but it fills the mailboxes of every person who is a subscriber to the list. This filter was put into place to avoid these types
of endless-loop situations, and stop them before they get started.

A more effective way of dealing with being on vacation is to TEMPORARILY turn off messages from the mailing list. This doesn't require you to unsubscribe -- it merely temporarily stops the flow of messages to your mailbox while you are gone. In order to stop mailing list messages temporarily, send an E-mail message to:

    ListGuru_at_fatcity.com

And in the message BODY, include the following command:

    SET <mailing list name> NOMAIL

Where <mailing list name> is the name of the mailing list for which you are a subscriber. Note that you can use this at ANY time, and for any reason, not just for vacations. Once you have returned from vacation, issue the following command to resume mail service again:

    SET <mailing list name> MAIL

If you use the two commands above, once before you leave, and then again after you return, everyone will appreciate your consideration and respect for the list. If you need to know which lists you are subscribed to, use the following command:

WHICH And finally, any time you need assistance with ListGuru, send the HELP command in the message body for detailed help on using ListGuru.

The body of your original message is being returned to you below.

Thank you,

Postmaster_at_fatcity.com

Sorry guys and girls...going on vacation and sent the nomail to work spot.
