Make sure that damagement designates a power user to learn Cognos very well. It can really drain your database performance if the cubes are poorly designed and the users start running queries from hell. Hopefully they will give you a reporting server for Cognos to run against. Overall it is a good product.

I just found out that I will be meeting with the sales "dog and pony" folks from Cognos on Tuesday. Have any of you worked with this product? What should I be aware of? What plusses/minuses should I look for? Any suggestions would be welcome.
