The last I heared from this case is judge ordering to investigate whether "window" is still a ditinctive word in computer industry as oposed to carpentry carpentry where it is descriptive; and whether "Windows" trademark is still valid in computer industry context.

Both answers a are expected to be "No". The lawsuit is expected to be dropped. But who knows. They won antitrust case after all.
