With Oracle version 9.2, it appears that the value of the log_archive_max_processes is defaulting to 2. I don't specify it in my init.ora file, but 2 archive processes are being started, ARC0 and ARC1. The value of this parameter is set to 2. Is this a feature of 9.2 we don't know about? Any documentation I have seen says it is supposed to default to 1.
