I am still having mystery problems with our 9.2.0.2 on Solaris 9 - I have to set the optimizer_mode back to 8.1.7 to get any kind of response time from our Discoverer reports (9.2..0.53). I have Oracle consulting coming out Monday to see if they can find anything.

Absolutely. Which is why none of my 8i OPS databases have gone to 9i
RAC yet. And from the recent article that was posted here (on Grid
Computing), I'm not alone.

I've got 9i production databases. But they are brand-new applications.
I haven't upgraded any of the 8i ones I have as yet, nor are there any
plans to do so.
