I thought I'd pass on the following link to a data dictionary article of mine that just went live on the O'Reilly Network:

http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/network/2002/10/28/data_dictionary.html?p= age=3D1

I hope no one minds. I realize this may be old-hat to many on this list.

Also, if you've read my recent print article on the new timestamp types, you should read my follow-up piece on the new INTERVAL types:

http://otn.oracle.com/oramag/oracle/02-nov/o62sql_online.html

The INTERVAL types solve the ADD_MONTHS "problem" I wrote about in the print article. Some INTERVAL material was originally in my timestamp article, but it got cut because of space limitations. Unfortunately, it was also important material, so I took the cut material, expanded it into an article of its own, and convinced Oracle Mag to post it.=20
