If you are single, get a job wherever it offers and then move back to your favorite place. Try not to be out of job for too long if you can.

I have friend got laid off here in CA and got a job in Orlando, FL. And he has family.

Hi all,

I need your idea. I got laid off as an Oracle DBA (3 yrs experience), and it's hard to find a DBA position here(I'm in Colorado). I had couple of years experience programming (3 yrs) in VB, and currently learning JAVA. I'd like to know is JAVA market still hot? (I can relocate to New Jersey, any memeber in New Jersey? how is the market over there, for Oracle DBA or JAVA programmer?)

What do you think which position is better, Oracle DBA or Java programmer? Based on compensation, workload, market demand, etc, etc ...

Thanks a lot!

Janet
