I was being a little bit sarcy ("sarcastic" for those
not as lazy with their pronunciation as me)...
I suppose I was just reminicising back to the days in
Oz where "OpenWorld" was synonymous with "really large
user group meeting".
I was a little disappointed at Copenhagen openworld -
generally the only non-oracle presentations that
seemed to have been permitted were those that 100%
sang Oracle's praises. And somehow having
/*+parallel(37)*/ tracks makes it a little awkward to
catch the presentations that you want to see :-(
Don't get me wrong - in most of those presentations,
the praise was justified, but in several others, the
praise was along the lines of: "we bought this, we've
only done the examples in the doco, they worked, so it
will definitely work for every possible scenario
including yours"...
Cheers
