Hi,
I am installing Oracle 8.1.7 on a MS Windows 2000 SP 3 system. When I get to the Net8 Configuration assistant, process jrew.exe goes to 100% of the CPU. I have let it run for over 15 minutes before stopping it from the Oracle installer. The process stops using the CPU but the Oracle installer hangs. I have to cancel the installer. If I try to create a database, I get a TNS adapter error. I have installed 8.1.7 on Windows NT without a problem. I have opened a TAR. Anyone experience this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
