I have been asked by damagement on the possibility of of linking Oracle to DB2 so that an Oracle trigger can update a DB2 table. I have been reading some of the fine manual along with reading stuff on metalink. >From what I can tell in order to connect to nonOracle data I need to use Oracles Transparent gateway to create a DB link to DB2. Also I would guess this will cost extra to use the Transparent gateway. Are these correct assumptions?

Thanks,

Dave
