Yes, this is quite an important point. MS's biggest selling point in the past is that previously you had no choice. You do now.

You: Err - no I don't think so - look over there - we currently run with Linux servers performing mail, file and print server functions - and did you know that they cost of ownership is competitive to MS even after we consider specialised Linux skills costs?
