Hi Vadim,

I just looked at this thread from the archives and noticed there was no reply to this.

What's your classpath? I've had no problems using "classes12.zip", which is included in the 8.1.7 distribution, to make a "thin" connection to a 9.0.1 DB. In fact, thin is the only way I can connect, since the client is a DEC Alpha running RedHat.
