Frédéric,

This may be a long shot, but have you got PL/SQL tables in use?

They extend forever in a heap unless you use DBMS_SESSION.FREE_UNUSED_US ER_MEMORY. My experience is that use of this call uses so much CPU it outweighs the advantages of using PL/SQL tables.
