The Stratus fault tolerant box works good here. Every component is
duplicated except the power cord. It uses HP chips and HP-UX.

1) in-house OS-dependent scripts
2) We don't need DB backups, we use x and it doesn't go down ;)

Can anyone advise what the most popular solutions are being used nowadays for database backup and recovery. I would imagine that RMAN is a cornerstone of most, if not all solutions. Anyone out there using Galaxy CommVault?.
Would seasoned folk be so kind as to state what solutions (Oralce and or 3rd party) they have found to be a robust tried and tested solution.
