Re: Problem with Oracle manager for MTS

Have you checked the regional settings on the server. Make sure you install the client with language=English USA.

Hello,

We are on Intel pentium 4 windows 2000 SP2 server. We tried to install oracle 8.1.6 client and no thing happened where we clicked on the "SETUP" button.
We applied the patch 1507768 and every thing was okay, we could connect to the database (8.1.7.0 in AIX) via sqlplus. Now when we try to create a service for Microsoft transaction server we got this warning (in french) that we don't get on any other server :
"Le chiffrement des mots de passe n'est pas pris en charge
"lorsque la variable locale est la France. Le motde passe sera
"stocké en toutes lettres dans la de registre.
In english :
"The encryption of the password isn't supported where
"environment variable is set to France. The password will be
"written into the register's base without encryption.

We can then create the service but the database ID isn't shown in the service's property and there isn't any enregistrement in the table MTS_PROXY_INFO.

We've opened an Itar since last week but they don't find any thing and I find nothing in the internet.

Any help will be appreciated.
