I have in the past seen a download for a backported statspack on I believe
OTN. This would work on Oracle 8.0.5
Maybe still there

I'm trying to run a retrofit of statspack on an 8.0.5 database. (ya, I
know. upgrading would actually be easier....)
The statspack stuff came from an 8.1.7 install I have on the same box.
The spreport.sql report encounters errors in the "order by" clause. The problem is that you can't do an "order by" on a subquery before version 8.1.something-or-other
I know there's some kind of work around for this. I had something to do with a hint. Even after 3 cups of coffee, I can't remember what it is.
Can anyone help?
