Position: Lead Oracle Architect-DBA
Location: Northern part of Rhode Island (near Mass. border)
Salary Range: 85-95K-depends on experience

The company is looking for a solid Oracle DBA who has moved into architecture.
This company does not like to relocate, but may consider qualified candidates willing to pay their own relocation expenses.

Candidates whose work history includes frequent job changes connot be
considered.
If you are employed by a consulting company you must have a long term
project history.
This is a full time staff position so no sub-contractors or third parties please.
No H-1B Candidates please.
*Responsibilities:
This position requires in-depth database management, monitoring, tuning,
security and troubleshooting skills using Oracle on large Unix systems. Good
planning, organization and communication skills are needed to interact with
application development teams and the operations center.
Additional responsibilities include:
Database sizing, disk layout, setup, applying patches, monitoring, tuning,
etc. Conducting JAD sessions and data modeling. Utilizing 3rd Party tools
for modeling, backup/recovery, reorgs, promotion, etc. Application design
review, SQL code review, setting/enforcing standards.
*Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or proven work experience.
-5+ years experience with Oracle running on Unix.
-Experience with transactional or data warehouse VLDB's.
-Knowledge of transaction systems, data warehouse and ERP systems.
-Some programming using KSH, PLSQL or C.
-Knowledge of ETL tools, Business Intelligence or Application suites.
-U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
