We are in production on 7.3.4. I installed 9i2 on a Win2k server with 7.3.4.

Disabled the old listener, configured the 9i listener and the clients cannot tell anything changed.

Updated the default instance created on install to accept one of my databases. Imported: everything worked fine. (9i caught a couple of things 7 and 8 missed: minor errors).

Tried to migrate one of the 7.3.4 instances. Everything worked fine.

These are the types of things that broke in past upgrades. I had been putting it off to avoid the trauma.

So far, I am impressed. In addition to the basic stuff working, there are all of those sexy new features.
