It works wonderfully for me. I've seen a few faces go completely blank ... and a few go cherry-red as they start frothing at the mouth mumbling "ORA-00600 ... ORA-01555 ...". It's almost like free therapy for them :-)

I laughed a lot at that ... not least because I'd been an Oracle DBA for three or four years before someone mentioned edit in SQL*Plus, and I said ... "Edit?! You mean this piece-of-[expletive] has an edit command!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!!!!!?????". Needless to say I then went and read the manual.
