This evening I was trying a 9iRelease2 [9.2.0.1] install on Tru64 5.1 The OUI completed installing all the files and was successful in relinking -- it went as far as the Net8 client (and I think LDAP) after which the OUI session silently died. It just vanished. Restarting the installer I find that the oraInventory registry has not been updated.
I wasn't in much of a hurry -- I was just testing the new CDs on a scratch server [Tru64 5.1, 1GB RAM 4.9GB available space in the ORACLE_BASE file system].
I'll be retrying the install again tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this ?
