RE: RE: OCP newsletter, latest changes...

Hey folks.

  I just saw this thread this morning. What a crime. It seems that the only way Oracle can generate sufficient streams of revenue is to punish those that popularize their software for the market. As an Oracle DBA and IT Manager, I will not pay for any of my staff to obtain a certification that requires such a ridiculous configuration. It just shows that Oracle is trying to generate as much revenue as possible. Given the state of today's economy, I don't think Oracle should be alienating their customer/PR base.

  As far as the tax issue: If training is not provided by your employer, and is required for your job, it can be deducted as business expense on form 2106. For education, the feds allow for educational expenses and some states also allow for it.
