Marcello,

Set up a directory called OraInstall or something like that, and copy the contents of your installation CDs to this directory on your hard drive
(creating Disk1, Disk2, Disk3 directories for each CD). Do a search in these
directories for "symcjit.dll" (there should be around 3 occurrences of it), and overwrite these with the following version of the dll:

http://www.cool-tools.co.uk/products/downloads/symcjit.dll

Then you can either re-create your installation CDs if you have a CD burner, or simply run the install from your local hard drive (Disk1\setup.exe).

2) Are you by chance running Win2K Pro on a P4 intel box? If so - it may be a problem with the symcjit.dll file.. If this is the case - let me know as there is a new version of the file available on our web site, and I'll give you instructions on the workaround.
