Oracle database patchsets for UNIX are cumulative. Applying the latest patchset will include all of the fixes in previous patchsets for the same baseline version. (i.e. The 8.1.7.4.0 will include the fixes in 8.1.7.3). Unless otherwise noted, you can apply the latest patchset



with out applying lower patchsets first.
