Nope, only Oracle's License Management Services may have a problem since it is an unlicensed CPU. Now who was the smart guy who said that processors are cheap? Yours just acquired a $40K+ price tag!!

I have a Windoze server that has an instance of 8.0.5 Oracle running on it. I just got an email from the network badmins that they are adding a processor to this server today. Glad to be in the loop!! This is a new experience for me. Is this something that may cause problems when Oracle starts up with this new processor??

Thanks,

Dave
