depends on what is causing the wait time. if it's because this is an interactive application and you are waiting for the person to enter data into the screen, teaching them to type faster would do it. :)

it could be your network lag time or the processor speed on the machine that is the client. You have to find out what is causing it before you can speed it up. There may actually be nothing you can do, or as Cary Millsap pointed out in another post to this list, this "idle wait" might actually be something you can speed up
