depends on where you live when you work there -- I live on Long Island,
but closer to the city than Westbury, so I had a "reverse" commute,
going opposite the general flow of traffic.
for me, 12 miles away, it was about 20 minutes going through the
streets
this leads to another sort of problem, it's too easy to stay at work
(no "I;m going to miss my train, the next one is in two hours so I am
out of here!")
the number of databases there has grown, as has the number of dbas (I
was the only one). Shareplex was not there when I was there. Arun's
description of on call etc was pretty accurate
