RE: "snapshot too old" error - strange

No ;-)
Morethan that , i turned sql_trace=true for the whole DB for the time the program was running , and did not found any DMLs against those tables (A,B) in traces.

One additional thought : no trigger referring to A and/or B on the updated table ?
