My guess is that you "inherited" an environment
where the DB-Link was setup that way [link-name different
from DB-name] ..... and then, sometime later,
you set GLOBAL_NAMES=TRUE
Well you have no choice :
"// *Action: create a database link with the same name as the database it
> // connects to, or set global_names=false."
Are you setting up Advanced Replication [MultiMaster] or Simple Replication [Snapshots] ? I believe that Simple Replication does not mandate GLOBAL_NAMES=TRUE.
