I am going through Don Burleson's Book "High Performance Tuning with Statspack". There are some references to the system statistic "write requests" which is used for tuning dbwr. This statistic seems to have disappeared in 8i per bug 1133880. What statistic should I use in it's place? There are some postings regarding this on MetaLink, but no answer.

Thanks,
Jay
