No you are not mistaken. Are you sure the table had no records before
loading? Look at the log file.

I have done a test and only ran one session, which has
faile (ran out of space). Yet the changes to oracle
tables have been committed. I thought that in direct
load the changes are committed only when the load is
completed successfully. Was I wrong?
